From roots to flower the Dandelion is an edible, useful plant, it's medicinal properties common knowledge among herbalists the world over. Yet it's almost universally categorized as a 'weed' by homeowners and gardeners in North America. Artist Diana Durrand takes a sympathetic look at this remarkable plant, portraying its beauty and utility in a collection of drawings, paintings and sculptures.

A group show with artists, Jo-Ann Sheen and Claire Moore. Three different perspectives on the subject of packaging but the unifying theme is to find meaning beyond the ubiquitous and superficial by looking closely at the plethora of package design and material we are exposed to ever day.

The "Mystery Dog" hand coloured photograph from the Sofa Sitters of Victoria has been donated to the SPCA for a raffle that will be drawn at the opening September 13th at the Art Centre at Cedar Hill. The framed artwork is at the SPCA Rescue Centre at 3150 Napier Lane with tickets for the draw available for $2. each.
